Frank Kimmel has been working hard to
secure race dates at some very popular tracks for 2012. We have
one confirmed race date for the April 14th 2012 weekend at
Rockingham NC in conjunction with the NASCAR Trucks. Frank has
also indicated to us that a date will also be announced for
Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2012. The Polar Bear 150 held
at Rockingham Speedway in November will also continue it’s
tradition. The Kimmel Street Stocks are gaining popularity in
big ways from the fans as well as competitors alike. Attendees
have been know to travel from all across the country to be part
of these races. The series is so much fun that even high profile
drivers have shown interest in being involved. Stand out NASCAR
driver Kurt Busch competed and finished 2nd behind Will Kimmel
in the running of the 2010 Polar Bear 150.
The CRA series is a very well established
organization that dose a very good job of promoting their events
and drivers. Great tracks like Winchester Speedway, Lucas Oil
Raceway, Anderson Speedway, Plymouth Speedway and Baer field
Speedway will make up about 15 races of our 2012 schedule.
Friends, I have been
receiving tons of questions about E3 plugs recently,
most common being if the plug test we did on Stacey
David's TV show Gearz was real. Yes it was
real and very accurate.
The engine
that we used in the test was a common small block Chevy
street performance 383 engine producing approximately
400 HP..
The plugs that
we tested and compared to each other in our test were
both comparable heat rang plugs for a standard street
rod application.
We simply made
three pulls testing a conventional plug recording the
data and then swapped to the E3 plugs and performed the
same three pull test.
The E3 plug
performed very well producing better HP in the upper
RPM, increased torque in the lower RPM and lower break
specific numbers indicating less fuel consumption.
That’s all good
stuff,,
To answer
another common question, Yes I have been using and
testing E-3 plugs in my own personal racing engines, and I have been seeing very good results..
No E3 dose not
have a race plug available to buy yet, but they are
working on a program to produce racing plugs in the near
future, and when they do I think it will be a winner..
Special thanks
to Lucas Oil, E-3 Spark Plugs, K&N Filters, Creative
Finishing, & VP Race Fuels for their continued support
of our racing program throughout the 2011 season..
Please support
our sponsors, it’s because of them we are able to race!
